Hire the Right Personal Trainer
Posted by: admin in Uncategorized on November 24th, 2009

Many people want to hire a Personal Trainer, but they’ve heard stories about brutal workouts, lackluster results, or maybe even frequent injuries. While those are all valid concerns, it’s important to keep in mind that there are many personal trainers out in the world. Unfortunately, most of the trainers that are out there aren’t properly qualified to take good care of your body.
So when looking for a personal trainer, definitely keep a few things in mind:
Make sure they are educated in the field of Exercise or Health Science of some type. Intense time should have been put in on the subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Kinetics, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Fitness Assessment, and Proper Exercise Techniques.
Check for proper certification credentials: There are many certification organizations that are NOT accredited and are just after money in exchange for a certificate. Do your research for quality control on the type of certification. Also, make sure the certification the trainer holds is current through continuing education. Many trainers were certified 10 years ago and haven’t done a workshop since!
The trainer should have good interpersonal skills: You’ll be spending alot of time with your new trainer, and you need to make sure you enjoy that person as an individual. Watch them while they are working out with others and see if they are getting along and how they are interacting. If you like what you see, that is a good start.
There are more things that you can take into consideration before committing to a personal trainer, more than I’ll go into here in this post. The main key is, do your homework, and if you need guidance further than this post offers, feel free to contact me! Brandon Rahe 904-540-6076 or garvorahe@hotmail.com

So Much Illness, & Exercise is the Medicine
Posted by: admin in Uncategorized on November 11th, 2009
There are so many benefits to an exercise routine that I won’t even begin to list them all. One major concept within all the benefits is prevention.
Prevention of this, prevention of that. Exercise is a natural and totally healthy way to accomplish so many of your health goals with 1 solution.
So many people think that exercise is only for losing weight. How wrong that is!
Every single person should be exercising in some way, shape, or form on a daily basis. With the current trends in health, insurance issues, disease, obesity, health care reform, etc….it’s even more relevant to try to motivate the general public to begin exercising.
So if you’re struggling with diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, low energy, high triglyceride levels, poor function during daily activities….then you need to hire a trainer to get you started on a new lifestyle.
And there is no magic pill in the medical community that will cure/prevent all the possible diseases/illnesses that a person will encounter. However, exercise prevents tons of different things all at once!!!
So if you’re looking for 1 thing that cures them all, exercise is as close as it gets!
